Dance Instructor and
Salsa Dance Performer
An art director and designer
by day; dance instructor by night, Cynthia has dedicated her last few years to the art of dance as an extension of all she has done with her life. Cynthia took her first Waltz class in 1999 and immediately became swept up by the rhythmic flow of the dance. However, it wasnt until her exposure to the exuberant, flirtatious and liberating side
of Salsa that she decided to dedicate her pastime to the
art of Salsa dancing.
With a dedication bordering
on obsession, she has spent the last few years training in
Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballroom,
Swing,
Argentine Tango,
Belly Dance,
Hustle, Cha Cha, Salsa, and especially Mambo on2.
In fact, her trainers are a
Whos Who
of the best Mambo instructors
in town including
Carlos Konig, Duplessey
Walker, Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez,
Jami Josephson,
Jimmy Anton, Karisma
Dance Studio, SantoRico Dance School and Yesenia
of Caribbean Soul, just to name a few.
Having excelled in Salsa, Cynthia was invited to
perform with SalsaGroove Ritmo Caliente Dancers at Salsa socials and Mambo
Showdowns, as well as local communities and corporate events. Presently, she is dancing with Duplessey's
Latin Dance Company and
Jami's Rhythm Divas.
In the Fall of 2004, Cynthia shared her passion for Salsa dance with the youths of
Bay Ridge community. She developed a Cultural Dance Program for St. Ephrem Church where she volunteered to teach Salsa for Kids at St. Ephrem School. She is
also involved
with After-School
Salsa Kids
programs
for various public schools in Brooklyn community.

MORE ABOUT ME:
This love affair with Salsa dancing started years ago at
a dance social. What I saw and felt forever changed my life.
I was energized by the multiple spins and turns, and was mesmerized by the shines and styling that were displayed.
I felt my body pumping to the hypnotic rhythm of the drums. Even in my sleep, I was dreaming and breathing Salsa...123,567. Needless to say, I was bitten by the salsa bug and had become a Salsaholic!
Since then I have not stopped taking lessons from top Mambo instructors in
town. I was eager to learn everything that was offered and was ready to take
it to the top. Within 2 years of dancing, I was invited to join an
all-female Salsa dance company from Brooklyn and had the opportunity to
perform and teach in different venues.
Through the years I have met people from all walks of life embracing this dance
with passion. We support each other by attending national and worldwide dance events and
we'll continue to inspire each other by improving ourselves
to create new choreography, but most importantly
WE DANCE
TO HAVE FUN!
If you're ready to have fun while developing solid dance skills, I would like to welcome you to my classes. For those who seek individual attention and private instructions, please contact me at [email protected] to
schedule for private lessons.
